Our experience Sept. 2015 to Aug. 2020
by Sam on Tuesday, August 18, 2020
We purchased the car brand new. Seemed pretty nice in general. Fairly roomy and comfortable. Handles ok. Accelerates poorly from stop and sometimes doesn't respond to throttle while in motion. Transmission failure at 78,000 miles. Fuel door failure just after. Front coil spring failure at 86,000. MPG has gone from averaging 35 to 25 after it's most recent maintenance service at 93,750 miles. - 3.0
If you are a second+ owner beware
by Teman on Thursday, January 07, 2021
I loved this car once..... It started with my car kicking out of cruise control. I did not think much of it at first. What happened next was a knock and a hybrid system failure. Now I am expected to pay to replace both at well over the value of the car. Thousands over..... This is not a daily driver that you can rack miles up on. Even with regular maintenance you will have issues. If you are staying local and do not drive a lot you MAY be ok. Second owners beware....... - 4.0
Loved it, but it will abruptly die
by perizia on Monday, September 30, 2024
I bought mine in 2019 with less than 20k miles on it, was absolutely amazing performance wise and gas mileage. Very spacious and had little to no issues with it. Had recalls that were fixed immediately, did routine maintenance and absolutely loved driving it. I always did long roadtrips (military) and was always confident with it. After 100k miles it was driving great no lights on the dash, just had an oil change done and the engine blew randomly and went into limp mode. I was quoted 10 grand for a new one, no thanks. It was a great car for 5 years, but be mindful that once you hit 100k you could be stranded on the side of the road lol
